I’ve been an empty nester for almost a year now, and I absolutely hate it. And even though my kids spent a majority of their time in their room when they were at home, there was just something about knowing they were home. I feel like I’m a minority in this, but I would do just about anything to have my kids back home.

My twins went off to college 4 HOURS AWAY last year. I became an empty nester in one swoop. I cried for an entire week and was so depressed & counted days until they came home for Thanksgiving.

They might not miss you at first, but I’m sure that they will. My kids are all grown now and have moved out of my house and it was kinda weird not having them here anymore, but it didn’t take as long as I thought to get used to it.
