Girl I went through this exact situation! My ex got nothing because we were not married when I got my inheritance and he also quit his job on his own and I supported him! Also there was no contract stating we agreed on him receiving money to help voluntarily on his own! Look into your states laws or at least consult with an attorney!

i hope he wasnt doing unliscensed electric work because 52 an hour for apprentice level electric work isnt really legal in most states.no construction worker doing general work makes 52 an hour unless a business owner.

He was working you for money. Gross. He did not have to quit working. He chose. We rehabbed my house and my husband worked the entire time when we were dating in addition to helping me. He was just with you for the money. Don’t give him anything. There was NO written or verbal contract. Get a good lawyer. What is wrong with men these days? That has happened to me too. I’ve gotten very good at recognizing this behavior in men before it goes that far and you will as well. Do NOT pay him anything.

Electricians apprentice tells me everything I need to know 🤣🤣 I would solidify the paper trail about the amount of money you agreed to pay him. It will probably look good in the judges eyes. And then, if you can subtract your own legal fees from what you were gonna pay him.

This video is going to prove his case. I can’t speak on the time because I don’t. You didn’t specify how long he worked on the house how many hours how long he was with you but sounds legit and all he has to do is to be able to prove any of that if he has receipts for any of that time then this video just helped his case
