I love hugging strangers easily, but if I feel a certain energy that tells me they don't like hugs, I respect their boundaries. I start with a handshake, make them feel comfortable and hopefully by the time it's time to say goodbye I can get them to open up just a little bit for a little hug. It doesn't make them a bad person. it's just something you have to navigate through life.
