The test was never for Allah to learn something new,He already knew. The purpose was for Adam himself, and all humanity, to understand the value of free will: we are not robots; we can choose to obey or make mistakes, the meaning of limits and responsibility, and that falling short is not the end: when Adam repented sincerely, Allah forgave him, showing His endless mercy. This test also sets the nature of life on earth: this world is a place of choice and growth, not a paradise where everything is given without effort. Allah already knows the result, but He lets us live, choose, and learn for our own sake.✌️

All humans are created with free will. Allah knows every possible outcome but allows us to decide which path to take. That’s our test.

Allah didn’t test Adam AS because Allah needed to find out what would happen. Allah already knew everything before it happened. The test was for Adam’s actions to happen and for Allah’s wisdom to be shown. Knowing something will happen doesn’t mean you forced it to happen. Adam AS still made a choice. A teacher can know a student is capable of passing a test but the test still shows the student’s effort. Allah’s knowledge is perfect but humans still have free will and are responsible for their choices. The story of Adam AS isn’t just about the mistake it’s about repentance and Allah’s mercy. Allah knew Adam would fall but He also knew Adam would turn back to Him. The test wasn’t for Allah to learn something it was for creation to experience the wisdom behind Allah’s decree.

It was to teach him repentance. Adam and Hawa using their free will to disobey then being taught how to seek repentance showed they were ready to be brought down to earth. Their destination was always earth.

Allah already knows what will happen in the future, but it has to happen right? A teacher that knows your skills could predict how you will do on an exam but he has to let you write your exam in order to judge your knowledge in the end. So although Allah knows the future, time has to pass still.

Allah tested Adam and Eve with the tree. The wisdom was to teach them that their actions have consequences. If you ask for forgiveness and make things right, I will forgive you, that was the wisdom behind it. In Surah Al- A'raf verse 23, they begged for forgiveness and Allah forgave them. Today humans sin and when they repent , Allah forgive them by his mercy.

Because it's Will not be fair for Adam . Allah could simply say to him, "You have failed," because He already knows it—without even giving Adam a chance. Allah knows, yet He gives us the opportunity to demonstrate it. Otherwise, life would not exist, since Allah already knows the outcome. Even though He knows the end, He grants you life so that there is at least proof.

It’s to humble us and to teach us a lesson, like how the teacher asks you a question they know you can’t answer.

Even though it's all written, for all of us. Allah (swt) gave the humans one thing only humans have, a choice. We have the freedom to choose, and what we do even if it's written, is on us.

It’s quite simple: your children will go their own way. Even though you know what is right or wrong for them, you will still want them to decide for themselves what is right or wrong. Ultimately, it is about voluntarily turning to God again and again—despite having free will—and choosing to obey God's will. Consciousness isn't just freedom; it is knowing that there is a Higher Power, even though you have free will, and choosing to submit to and serve Him—because, at the end of the day, we are servants of Allah!

Free Will. He knew the outcomes either way, he gave us a choice, we failed and we are recovering from that failure. The journey is the test, not the final destination, that's the reward.

Imagine a book where you know the ending (where the protagonist dies) and you can talk to the main character. Would you tell him, "Don't do anything—you're going to die anyway"? He would reply that he wants to try, and that it wouldn't be fair to stop him without letting him give it a shot (even if you know the ending)

Allah tested Adam not to discover an unknown outcome. it was more to manifest His divine attributes of mercy, establish human accountability through free will.

Allah did not test Adam because He needed to know the outcome. Allah already knew. The test was so Adam’s choice would occur in reality, justice would be established through actual deeds, and Allah’s wisdom and mercy—including Adam’s repentance—would be manifested.

The Quran explains that while Allah SWT has absolute, perfect foreknowledge of everything you will ever do, He still commands you to live your life and make your choices so that your own actions stand as undeniable evidence for or against you on the Day of Judgement. In Islamic theology, if Allah SWT judged people based solely on His foreknowledge without letting them actually live, humans would argue that they were punished unfairly for things they never actually did.
