Let me introduce you to a line item most people never say out loud. Girlfriend allowance. Most men will not call it that. On paper it becomes entertainment. Miscellaneous. Something neutral. But when you look closely at the financial plan of many men, there it is. A budget for the women in their lives. Sometimes almost six figures. Sometimes more. Some men are literally budgeting for cheating. Paying rent for a house somewhere. Taking care of a woman there like it is home. All quietly tucked under entertainment. Now let me be balanced here. Is it wrong for a man to take care of his woman? No. Providing is not the crime. If you have the means and you choose to water the flowers in your life, that is your right. But here is where financial intelligence has to enter the conversation. You cannot only think about today. Walking around funding three relationships feels like living. It feels like winning. But that is a myopic view. So sit down and ask the harder question. Will those three be there when you are seventy? Will they be there in the season when you need care, not fun? You already know the answer. You only live once, yes. But imagine reaching your sixties with nothing, and living forty more years with empty hands. Then leaning on your children as black tax, disturbing the very people you should be blessing. The fun is shared. But the suffering, later, is carried alone. Enjoy your life. Provide freely.
