@nofret_egypt_: The Luxor Museum, opened in 1975, is one of Egypt’s finest museums. Unlike larger collections, it displays a carefully selected group of masterpieces with excellent lighting and clear presentation, allowing visitors to appreciate the artistry of ancient Egyptian sculpture. Among its highlights are magnificent statues of Amenhotep III, Thutmose III, and Akhenaten, as well as elegant statues of deities such as Amun. Many sculptures originate from the famous Luxor Temple Cachette, a hidden deposit of statues discovered beneath the courtyard of Luxor Temple in 1989. Other highlights include royal mummies, exquisite reliefs, jewelry, funerary objects, and military equipment from the Theban Necropolis.
