I don’t have my sons dad on child support either 🤷🏽♀️I expect him to do right by my kid, and I’ll do the same, we split extra curriculars 50/50 and we’re even. I don’t see a need for anything further

EXACTLY!! show up and show out..for me nothing is 50/50, 100/100 all ways! i choose time over money, i work my ess off to provide all that they want and need..ain’t got all the time to be waiting and chasing a check but it goes to show “work harder or find a better career”..but to each their own 💯🙌🏽

It isn’t the mom or dad it’s the courts. Thr more you have your child the less you pay also say thr dad has 4 kids and 4 baby moms at least 1 won’t get anything . I pay CS plus have my child 50/50 and I pay it happily

Exactly; some of us are strong enough to sit down with our co-parent and do what's best for our child. That's how my daughter's father and I handle our co-parenting relationship I was raised by both of my parents throughout my life, but my situation with my child's father is somewhat unique. Despite this, we are committed to doing what's best for our child without involving the courts.

That’s like me with my ex we’re separated. No child support I pay for my girls and if anything actually pops up, she just has to ask the money is there I take care of my responsibilities.

Child support should only be perceived as bad or problematic if the parent receiving it is using it for themselves and the child’s needs aren’t met like haircuts, new shoes, etc. Also if that child support is preventing the non-custodial parent from meeting their basic needs like rent, car payment, etc then it’s an issue.

The government cannot force both parents to split the duties and costs of parenting. However they can force the other parent to pay for not doing their half of raising the child. So they do what they can.

So, here’s the thing with child support. In Texas, idk how it is anywhere else. But in Texas, if the other parent is not on child support, he doesn’t have the right to see the child. I know my husband put himself on child support so he could be able to see his children. Lo and behold, the kids mother wants him to be a deadbeat but he fought in court to establish visitation when she withheld the children for 7 to 8 months. lol she’s so fucking bitter because HES A GOOD DAD AND NOT A DEADBEAT LIKE SHE WANTS HIM TO BE. lol

What sucks is that, some states just come after the parent that makes the most money just because they can. My fiance tries to be a dad but hasn't had the opportunity to because she withholds their son from him. He sends her money and pays child support, but anytime he asks to spend time with his son she denies him. So we're fighting to get 50 50 custody and she's fighting it because she won't get the tax refund every year and he won't have to pay as much for child support.
