@tucsonfirefighter: Tucson Fire was dispatched to a tree fire at 9:14 last night at 2545 South Treat Avenue. Engine 11 arrived eight minutes later and reported a large fire burning in oleanders, and requested a second unit. Engine 11 also requested the incident be upgraded to a large brush fire. A second alarm was requested at 9:29 due to wind and flying embers and the proximity of several surrounding homes. Once crews started spraying water on the fire, it was contained and the second alarm was canceled. The fire was called under control at 10:07. It took four engines and two ladder trucks about an hour to put everything out. The scene was then turned over to the Wildland Team, which had been stationed on A Mountain for the fireworks show. Fireworks found in the street where the fire started are believed to have caused the fire. No injuries were reported. This is the second time in less than a year and a half that this area has caught fire.
