You should get your treatment free if you’ve already donated eggs IMO.

I worked at a fertility clinic in the egg donation section and most donors became patients later on 😔

Unfortunately egg donation can have a major impact on women’s health and they’re not transparent enough about it :(

As a egg donor recipient, thank you for donating and making someone's dream come true. As a an infertile woman, I am so very sorry you are now dealing with this.

Hopefully it will become part of the retrieval process to store a few eggs for the donor just in case. That way there is a chance later just in case

Egg donation is not just a simple harmless procedure for women body. Unfortunately companies not educate enough young women before procedure.

On the brighter side, whether you succeed in getting yours now or not, your bloodline lives on, even if it wasn’t made by you and your hubby❤️Wishing you all the best

I highly suggest the book Eggonomics by Dr. Diane Tobber! It explores the inter workings of the egg donation industry and the lasting physical impacts on women’s health! Your experince is practically identical to many women in her book. It’s so crazy how under researched the long term effects of egg donation are.

I feel like there’s a correlation LOL. I had a natural pregnancy and birth. Decided to give back and donate eggs. Three years later endometriosis, blocked tubes and had to do IVF myself! 🫣

this is what happened to me as well. Weird to experience IVF as a donor and then a patient. My several rounds of IVF didn’t work. I really wish I’d known how under researched it was at the time.

This isn’t something that applies to this stage of my life, but I find your post fascinating. I never knew this and I hope it helps more women.

I donated eggs at 21, tried for a baby at 26, 3 years of infertility, diagnosed with stage 4 endo with ovarian involvement and had to do IVF. But I did retrieve more eggs this time doing it for myself shockingly

As a woman who’s been through 2 egg retrievals for donation, the first of which I was overstimulated and they retrieved 42 eggs, I went on to get pregnant while actively trying not to. I have two healthy teenagers and a very regular cycle. Every person’s experience is different!!!
