Verstappen crashed at Stowe on Lap 48, and aerial footage confirmed the tractor crane had successfully lifted and swung his Red Bull entirely behind the tire barriers by the middle of Lap 50. Because modern F1 cars drive at heavily reduced speeds under caution, a single Safety Car lap at Silverstone takes roughly 2 minutes and 15 seconds. This means the racing surface was 100% safe, empty, and clear of the car for 4 minutes and 30 seconds while the field completed Laps 51 and 52.The finish was completely ruined because Race Control hesitated. Instead of hitting the button the moment the track was clear on Lap 50, officials waited an entire extra lap until Lap 51 to trigger the "Lapped Cars May Now Overtake" message. Under FIA Sporting Regulation Article B5.13.5, once the unlapping process is signaled, the Safety Car must stay out for one more full additional lap to allow backmarkers to safely catch up. By delaying that button push until Lap 51, the rules legally locked the Safety Car on track until the end of Lap 52—which was the final lap of the race.To make matters worse, the FIA's automated tracking software saw the clear track on Lap 51 and automatically flashed a misleading "Safety Car In This Lap" graphic to global TV audiences, forcing human officials to hastily override their own system. The track marshals performed a flawless recovery in record time, but administrative hesitation and a software glitch

No substance Hamilton, most of his interviews lack substance and a technical ability to explain himself 🤔 even 2 season Kimi Antonelli gives better technically minded and mature interviews as can most of the other F1 drivers!! He has Mercedes to thank for his 7 wdc and his low ranking team mates at that time, Rosburg and Bottas!! he also had no competition from the rest of the F1 teams as they were technically years behind the Mercedes!!
