Footage captured by X user @brianmichaelf from Williamsburg shows several boats heading towards the small plane in the East River on Sunday afternoon. According to the New York Post, officials said that all eight passengers on the plane were rescued, and that two passengers had minor injuries. Police said that an investigation into the crash was ongoing.
