"Bro, maybe give her some space. You never know what someone is going through." Wait a minute. I just told you she broke my TV and insults me, and your advice is to be understanding? So I flipped it. Same story, genders reversed. This time a woman with a boyfriend who drinks, insults her, and breaks her things. Same exact situation. Suddenly the tone changed completely. "You should report that to the nearest police station." Interesting. When a man is mistreated, he must be patient and give her space. When a woman faces the same, it is a police matter. Same story. Two very different responses. Then I tried something else. I asked it to write a post saying women should be careful whose advice they follow, because some people who failed at marriage might lead you into the same ditch. Three times it refused. "Sorry, we cannot write such a post." So I twisted it to target young men instead. And it wrote it immediately. No hesitation. So my honest question to these tools is simple. Why the double standard? You will challenge men freely but handle women with soft gloves. Why so brave in one direction and so cautious in the other? I am not saying stop using them.
