I was humbled too by those damned pitocin contractions, I was gonna tough it out, asked for an epidural at the 4 hour mark, they tried about 3 times, it didn’t work, worked the last time and I gave birth 2 hours after getting it, I was in labour for 17 hours total 😭😭

y’all also have to realize if the epidural doesn’t go right they can become paralyzed, so if someone doesn’t want to do that it’s very understandable.

Yep!! I tried to push it out as much as possible and should’ve gotten mine sooner!! I waited like 10 hours with no epidural and only opened like 3cm … horrible.

Just had my baby yesterday and similar experience I was trying to tough out the epidural and ended up wishing I had done it sooner. Also everyone kept telling me labor was just pressure….that was NOT just pressure

My mom didn’t took the epidural for the birth of my sister and the first thing she yelled while entering the hospital room was “I WANT THE EPIDURAL!” To every nurse she found 😂

I love giving birth. I know that’s niche but if you breathe and lean into labor it doesn’t hurt as badly! 🥰 it’s tough to do the first time though. You don’t know what to expect yet.
