Hey kids are really resilient. You are a great mum. I can say my parents separated really young my mother wasn’t treated very well. We went through dv, my dad had his moments where he lost control. The main thing is to make them feel safe and loved which you are already doing. Just reassure them that it wasn’t their fault. I remember thinking it was my fault and no one talked to me about it. I recently talked to my brother and he said he blamed himself as well because we were the two youngest siblings of five siblings. It didn’t make sense but we both had these feelings and only recently talked about it over 38 years later.
