I don’t fully agree, I think it’s a specific set of believers that this applies to not just believing in general. I commented in another one of your videos, I still consider myself a Christian. I believe that there is a creator and he did send Jesus as a messenger to try and teach us how to be better people. However, I do believe that the Bible has a lot of errors, outdated concepts and is constantly misused to further someone’s dogma. The main theme is solid, treat others like you want to be treated, be honest, don’t cheat, don’t kill etc. I also don’t believe you need religion to be a good person. Empathy is innate in us since before we can even comprehend religion.

yet I know so many who also majored in psychology and work with vulnerable people under their therapist license....makes me wonder how they reconcile their delusion to what they learn about psychology and the human mind.

But this is assuming that Christians do this. There is a sec in the Catholic organization that believes beating himself is important to salvation, but this is just proof that it’s a false Christian organization. No one goes around beating themselves down. When we fall, we just get up. We don’t remind ourselves that we fell. We remind ourselves that we get up. This is why the cross doesn’t have Jesus on it. Because it’s a reminder of the resurrection, the success from death. An old Japanese saying is do not tell yourself you are the problem because you are listening.👍🤔
