Oh girl. As a police officer, we carry your trauma with us. I absolutely HATE responding to calls involving children because I’m a mama as well. It hits differently when you’re a first responder and a parent. It definitely affects us afterwards. Sending you lots of hugs 🫂

I’m about to be a first time mom, and am a 911 dispatcher. Momma when I tell you these are the hardest calls we take, it breaks my heart. Know that every single person responding and taking your call, is praying for you and your child, we’re doing everything in our power to amend the situation. I’m so terribly sorry you had to go through this, and i truly hope you know your little girl is always with you. Always. Those responders will always have you and her in their heart, thoughts, and prayers. I’m not going to say it’ll get easier, it doesn’t. It becomes more manageable, but never easier. Be sure to reach out to someone, speak to them about your experience, don’t let it sit there. Know you’re not alone, please don’t forget that.

I am so so sorry Steph. So sorry. I can’t even imagine the grief of losing a child, and I won’t pretend to, but my heart goes out to you and breaks all at the same time. You are so brave, and so strong. I know you have two other babies, and a husband to live for, but I am so proud of you. your name caught my eye as I was scrolling. I am a "Stacy's Mom" as well. I lost my Stacy in 2022. She was a beautiful 35 yr old woman with 4 precious children. The loss of a child is the most painful thing to go thru. Hugs to you. I know ❤️

Please promise me you will be gentle with yourself on this journey. Allow your heart to accept grace for yourself.
