@lauraclery: This Independence Day feels unusually personal… Freedom from the British has acquired a whole new meaning for me. 🤣❤️ Last 4th of July, I NEVER could have imagined I’d be celebrating this version of my life… (girl) This year though… there’s so much to celebrate. My family is healthy, happy and safe. (Including their dad) My divorce is finalized. Our family doesn’t look the way I once imagined it would, but in so many ways, it’s healthier than it’s ever been. This year I have discovered a different kind of independence. I survived the things I was certain would destroy me. I finally learned that I don’t need another person to make me whole. I feel more capable and competent than I ever have.
