I think it's just a thing of infinite realities doesn't inherently mean every possible thing is gonna happen in those realities. like you can have an infinite string of random numbers where 4 only appears once.

Let’s be clear… these two Ricks are NOT the only two to create portal travel. They are the only Ricks to create MULTIVERSAL portal travel. “Standard” (limited to one universe) portal travel is apparently “easy” enough that the US government and the Federation were able to independently invent it. Whenever a new Rick would “invent” portal travel, Prime Rick would show up, explain that (within a given universe) normal portal travel was actually quite common, then offer the new Rick MULTIVERSAL portal technology. Most Ricks would accept the offer, C137 was the exception

From what I understood, they’re the only two Ricks who actually created the portal gun from scratch within the Central Finite Curve, which would make sense since it only contains Ricks who are less intelligent than our Rick.

my theory is that in rick primes universe, his Dianne left him before he invented portal travel, and when he started travelling the multiverse, he saw that the majority of the ricks were happy with their Dianne's as they worked on their own versions of portal travel or science, and this is why he erased Dianne from the multiverse because if he couldn't be happy, none of them could, and also he saw that rick c-137 loved his wife more than science which enrage him even more

People also have a misconception on the multiverse. It isnt infinite per say but has a possibility to be. A new multiverse is created everytime someone time travels. Thats why Rick hates time traveling and why its heavily policed by time cops.

it took our rick years to invent the portal fluid, and decades to chase rick prime to the point all lil beth has grown enough, give birth and morty is grown to be a teenager it will take each of the ricks the same amount of time, but they have wasted years they could use on experimenting the portal fluid using the portal fluid already given to them remember farmer rick? he is also the only rick that learn cloning tech by himself
