I live in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. I don’t think you need to worry too much about your tattoos in Okinawa. Of course, some places in Japan, like hot springs, public baths, pools, or spas, may have rules about tattoos. But just walking around town, sightseeing, shopping, or going to the beach, I don’t think you need to hide them all the time. I’m really happy that you are being so respectful and taking the time to learn about Japan before your trip. That means a lot to me. Please don’t be too worried. I hope you enjoy Okinawa and your whole trip to Japan. I really want you to have a wonderful time here.

Get a roll of that medical cotton "tubing" that goes under ace bandages or casts... Stretchy and super lightweight. A little paper tape and you're on your way!

Not sure what areas of Okinawa you’re going to, but one of the best burgers on island is Gordies in Chatan 🥰 If there’s a hurricane coming, you’ll need to get KFC. Stop by any & all 7 Elevens. Speed limit is 35mph. You’ll be driving on the wrong side of the road 😳 Have fun & stay safe!
