i don’t get how this happens so regularly in america do u not have state child laws ? like we have multiple child protection laws acts and legislation as well as individual company policies and procedures we have had some really bad child abuse cases like eunice spry but there’s no way children just are born and nobody knows for decades

“Why didn’t anyone say anything?” I just saw the house/street, the street was a dead end so there wasn’t much reason for someone who didn’t live on it to drive down it. As for the neighbors, a lot of them were interviewed and the common consensus was that they never saw any children outside or any signs of children (like toys or playing) there is also a creek/watery valley area and numerous trees that separate the Ciders house from other neighbors. They had no “next-door neighbors” that might be able to see anything. Including the fact that it’s southeastern Ohio and poverty is unfortunately not uncommon. If anyone did see anything they were probably going through their own thing and had no way to tell what was going on in that house.

Where they live is quite litterally in the middle of nowhere my grandma lives in the city. Theirs no real “neighbors” besides acres apart
