if you've read overgear you would see that the story it's good and the character development it's really well done , the side characters story it's also very well done amongst the countless fantasy type it's one of the best , of course not the best , but it's in the top so saying it's a slop it's really inaccurate, slops are all the manhua whit 1000+ chapters that have no substance

calling overgeared a power fantasy is a huge disservice to the story. it took literal hundreds of chapters until grid became the strongest player ( not even the strongest overall in game yet) with a huge focus on character development and world building I would say it's the exact opposite because it took a production class legendary and mixed it up so well that even the achievement of becoming strong is tied directly to Grids own effort not otherwise
