Mfs in the comment section don’t understand the game. It was a red card without a doubt. Even if it wasn’t, wrong calls are part of the game. You cant overturn the decision 3 days later.

Leagues have removed red cards PLENTY of times just hasn’t happened in a world cup “we are defending football” well in Football it has happened TIME AND TIME again not common but it is part of the life of 99 percent of competitive play

It should have never been issued in the first place. The rules of VAR are if the referee doesn’t call a foul, you can’t use VAR to then issue one. VAR uses slow motion and still imaging which by that alone sure you can make the claim it was intentional, but if you actually play the replay, he eyes were on the ball and the cleat was unintentional
