Nahh his technique only had potential,the main and only real reason why sukuna wanted megumi from the start is because he would be a vessel. Yuji was a cage to him,because of yujis will and his mindset to not give up,megumi is simply just easier to break. Ofc ten shads aswell playes part when sukuna saw mahoraga. But nicely said,ten shads is pretty MID compared to limitless,only raga is a big plus point,and even that plus point held sukuna back
