This was written for me. Got to my dad 20 mins after he took his last breath and reach upwards with both hands. I broke down fell to the floor and sobbed some how managed to get the courage to stand up and get him dressed just like I always did. Although this time his body was starting to cold and stiff but not stiff from Parkinson’s disease a different type of lifeless stiff. I will never forget that day. It’s still so raw. I kissed him on his forehead stroked his hair and said no more suffering dad your pain has gone you are the strongest man I know I will forever look up to you and do right by you. Absolute true English gentleman. I will miss you so much. Please give me a sign to let me know you are ok. x
