This js why Fern being able to see through Serie’s suppression is more impressive, her student Lernen was knowledgable enough to see through Frieren’s suppression, a feat only the Demon King was able to accomplish, but he still wasnt able to see Serie’s fluctuations, implying that her control is far better than frieren’s, but here comes this young mage fern, seeing it at one glance.

That like makes no sense. Yes she entered the dungeon but she defeated only her clone. The clone that wouldn’t be there if Frieren weren’t there. Furthermore she had to take Fern with her on the fight which left Fern clone to fight other participants without Fern. Frieren made this test even more complicated than it was

Aside from ideals, Serie fails Frieren for taking the first class mage exam since it appears as an insult to the continental magic association since Frieren is already a great mage by having the holy emblem symbol. So imagine, being a great mage then going to take the first class mage exam would be a total downgrade and insult. Lol
