Yet, at the same time, Montrealers go outside and enjoy the snow and the cold, walk the dog, walk Mount Royal, and visit places not connected to the underground city. And all this is possible with the help of efficient ( for the most part) snow clearing.

this is not true at all lol i lived in Montréal region all my life and nobody use this as a way to avoid winter. it's just shortcuts to go from one building to another.

Ok ppl are being negative the reso is only downtown we get it but the story is I lived downtown I used to work at place la cathédrale, my building is connected to the metro station Atwater, I used to go down from my building no jacket no winter shoes go to work come back home no stepping outside and go to movies or diner with my gf without stepping outside she goes shopping everything indoor. It’s under downtown Montreal there’s a lot to do.
