Another reminder; many medications can cause heat intolerance, such as SSRIs or other mood medications!

Parents, start putting your work bags, purses, passes, your phone in the back seat. Especially if you don’t regularly transport your child, if you forget to drop them off, you will remember when you have to grab your bag, pass, purse or phone. It won’t take long to make the bag in the backseat a habit. But that habit might save your child’s life.

Recently i was at a goodwill with my mom and i asked if i could stay in the car because i was bored and she agreed so i went to the care and turned on some YouTube. It was 94 degrees outside so i turned the key enough so air was going but i didnt turn the car on so the AC wasnt actually going (something i didnt realize) i was sweating profusely in the drivers seat of this car for almost an hour before my mom called me to help her carry stuff to the car. When i opened the door to 94 degree heat, humidity and direct sunlight it felt like i stepped into a house with the AC blasting. I dont know what the temperature in that car was but it was well over 100°

What’s even more crazy to think about, is the fact that here in AZ, the summer temperature can literally START at 120 degrees.
