Actually 4160.00 now subtract taxes your probably taking home 3300. A month now subtract 1400, rent ,500 car note 100 cellphone 250 electric 150 car insurance 500 for food=2650-3300=650. How about water bill , internet, health insurance, child care ect. Your math ain’t mathing.

4160. Take out about 25% for taxes makes it 3120 a month. 300 a month for health insurance is 2820 left over. Rent, bills and food in your scenario total 2700. I have 120 left over for the rest of the month. That’s a very tight budget

$4,300 BEFORE taxes. It’s actually more like 3k. So with your math that is $300 left. Which doesn’t account for savings, clothes, vehicle maintenance, toiletries, and emergencies. $300x12=$3,600.00. $3,600 a year for anything that isn’t bare necessities. NOT ENOUGH. Also rent is rarely $1400.

$26/hr X 40/week = $1040. Multiply that by 4 weeks and you get $4160, after taxes you’re at $3260 take home. Now do $2300 for rent you’re down to $960. Take away gas -$500, food -400 and boom $60 with no phone bill, insurance, car payment, and other bills.

Devin Surine :
$26/hr is $1,040/wk and $4,160/mo. Then you factor in federal, state, and county tax (if applicable). Where I live, that $1,040/wk turns into $680/wk or $2,720/mo after taxes. Take out your $1,400 for rent, $800 for bills, and $500 for fuel/groceries, you’re left with $20.
