They are stressed. The momma defending her pups on that cove. Leave the cove. If she gets too stressed she will leave the pups and the pups are more prone to die.

Except it’s not funny because they are trying to protect their babies and they’re distressed and it leads to the abandonment of their pups who then die. People need to give them space this is so sad

There’s an entire ass other beach down the fucking street that you can swim and play in. There’s no reason to be in the water or have your towels set up

They do close it during pupping season. It was originally built for children to have a safe place to swim. You can easily look up La Jolla childrens pool history. Your welcome.
