@daddio_on_the_patio: If cleaning a Blackstone is so hard… why am I done before your oven finishes preheating? 🤷‍♂️ People love repeating myths they heard from someone who doesn’t even own one. Scrape. Water. Wipe. Oil. Done. Keep believing it’s difficult. The rest of us will keep making incredible food. 🔥 What’s the dumbest Blackstone myth you’ve ever heard? Sound off in the comments. 👇 @Blackstone Griddles #blackstonegriddle #griddlenation #griddlecrew #mythbusters

the issue with a Blackstone is that it's just a glorified griddle. I want my food to be seasoned with char from flames and or charcoal. Everything you can do with a Blackstone, I and anyone else could do better on a Charcoal grill with the right setup

so the answer is - yes. While everyone else is enjoying their time you're spending 20 min cleaning and seasoning your grill. Love my Blackstone but lets not tell lies, they are a headache compared to traditional grills

Once you realize you cook an entire meal and have three less pans to clean after, the clean time seems minimal.

I own a blackstone. To clean it right (which this is not), it is an absolute pain to do. Unless im making more than 6 burgers for a large party of people, its not worth it.

No man, I have owned one and I promise it is not worth it unless you were cooking for like 10 people several times a night. Regular families it is not worth it at all. It is a hassle to clean and keep rust free.

I clean it and then let it cool down. Then Blackstone seasoning while it's just warm enough to melt and spread it, That's it. My Blackstone is not Black like this and nothing sticks.

Blackstone only rust if you really don't know what your doing. I've had mine and a portable one for camping over 2 years and still looks great even after sitting in the garage for months

What oil did you use at the end? Also do you leave the burners on during this process?

You gotta good scrape while it’s hot, then let it cool, then come back with water and paper towels. Then a thin layer of oil. I cook on mine everyday and it was cleaner than this.
