@mamawgailcooks: My Poor Man’s Stew 🍲 Ingredients • 5 medium potatoes, cubed • Water (enough to cover the potatoes) • 1 heaping tablespoon vegetable shortening • 4 carrots, sliced • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped • Salt and pepper, to taste • 1 package kielbasa, sliced Instructions 1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. 2. Add the vegetable shortening, carrots, and chopped cabbage. 3. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook for 10 minutes. 4. Season with salt and pepper. 5. Add the sliced kielbasa and gently stir. 6. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes and cabbage are tender. 7.
