worst take ever bruh.. they all had separate goals to achieve, just because they are friends doesn’t mean they have to be together all the time. there are literally tons of monologues about how kurapika values gon in the hunter exam arc, kurapika and leorio joined gon to save killua and trained specifically for that reason during the zoldyck family arc even though it wasn’t necessary for them to do so, leorio helps as much as he can so killua and gon could get the money they need for greed island and kurapika throws away the chance to achieve his lifetime goal in order to save gon and killua in the yorknew city arc, leorio is obviously worried about gon and even confronts ging because of it in the chairman election arc. the list goes on!!! they are obviously not just random acquaintances

It's true that anime marketing is a bit misleading, putting Leorio and Kurapika everywhere, but I think it's a realistic adaptation of how friendships really are. They form around a common goal, and if the bond is strong, it remains regardless of distance or where the others are. Especially in adulthood, people go their separate ways for their goals, and that path often leads them away from their friends, but each of them shows that they care about the other in their own way

I think part of the beauty of the main 4 is the fact no matter how separate their journeys become they’re still all friends and share a bond, like that whole “No matter where we go we’ll always be friends” line from the end of the anime or something it applies to all of them
