The underrated villain

Outside the comedic relief the fans made for Shane, he was such a dark figure for an apocalypse survivor! He wasn't the regular cannibal or a guy with no remorse or the guy who's naming a bat, but something deeper and completely compex than other characters! He was walking into a path, which he already knew, it would be haunting for his own humanity, but he had to "Turn off his switch" (humanity), so he could manage to be the whiling protector for his own people! He wasn't a psychopath or a sociopath like other characters who carried massive trauma, he was the absolute reverse, he didn't lack empathy and he was completely emotional, but in the end of his story he saw it as a weakness for his progression and he managed to turn off HIS switch and ended a human life with the most cold way, without giving a second thought! He was the first ever person btw, who completely ended a human being that brutal and fast! Rick ended both at the bar to ensure his safety and the safety of others because he didn't have a choice, but Shane, he might did it for the same reason for safety, but he HAD a choice and he took it for Randall! His character was PERFECTLY written and he absolutely served a purpose for every character at the beginning! He was terrifying, not as a monster or a ghost, but because EVERYONE, could became like him if a apocalypse ever started! (without the Lori part ofc)
