DayOne is literally the only option. Vanilla+ (guns that may as well already be in the game) and no base building, consistently full pop that doesn’t pad their numbers. A tight nit community and ever since I played it I never touched another server.

Join Sunnyvale #10 it’s well balanced and easy to get gear and base up. It’s pve/pvp with zones so you don’t have to be worried about getting raided, also the guns are pretty balanced.

Dayz mod is Arma 2. There is so mutch more you can do in Arma 3 dayz and gameplay is so mutch nicer and more fluent

If you want more modded experience, personally my favorite is Rearmed. It’s basically if DayZ, Tarkov and Rust had a baby. The weapons can be heavily modified to reduce their recoil. There are key rooms for higher end gear and base building materials. The spawn towns have basic weapons, the military locations spawn armor and weapons. Obviously the farther north west you travel, the better the ground spawn loot at military locations gets. It has a safe zone with trader and a player2player market. You actually have to grind the hell out of the server to maintain higher end gear. It is a very PVP oriented server.
