People forget that sleep training isn't just the "scream it out" method. I also sleep train my lil one. We got a ritual:first we eat dinner, change him into his pj's and then we watch "sandmann" together(it's a kids show with small story's,look it up! It's a German thing 😅). After that we then get ready for bed and most of the time it works(even tho he is teething rn and doesn't wanna sleep)

I genuinely think it’s crazy not to do some kind of sleep training? Not “cry it out” methods but your baby is new to this world and they don’t know how to do anything, so you have to teach them to eat, crawl, speak, walk…why wouldn’t you also need to teach them to sleep?

Sleep training is the best! My son is 7 years old, he is such a happy boy, his teachers said he's so excited in the morning because he's had enough rest at night ❤️plus, it saved my marriage by finally having at-home date nights hahahah totally recommend!

I thought sleep training was the norm. Imagine being sleepy and not knowing what to do about it or even what that means? That’s how most little kids feel and need their parents help

My daughter is 9 now, she is finally allowed a later bedtime if things are going on (weddings, fireworks, fun activities) but otherwise she has been an 8:30 bedtime since she was a baby 🤍 people think it’s insane. I think it’s inane your child is up and wild at 11PM … 🤷🏼♀️😂

I think it’s so funny when babies have a strict sleep schedule that they themselves are very conscious of😂😂

I’m a preschool teacher and I’ve had parents accuse us of lying about their kid napping bc “they can’t sleep at home without me” we have a consistent routine we do at the same time everyday, eat lunch, throw your plates, wash hands, get your bedding, wait for your cot, lay down and sleep (if they need it we pat them or rub their face until they fall asleep) we play the same playlist from the infant room to school age.

Not all sleep training is CIO, CIO is proven to be harmful. Do what you want with your kids, as long as it's not harmful.

My parents had forced me to go to bed at 6 30 pm from like, 7-13. Now my sleep schedule is fucked because suddenly I was given the freedom to hang out with my friends and stuff. I always take naps now; I'm 15 and I hate how I was raised.

I love when people say “I would never sleep train! In my home we……” and then literally explain sleep training 😂 cry it out does not = sleep training

My son was sleep trained. Hates bedtime. My daughter was sleep trained. Begs for a nap. Every kid is different

It depends on how you define sleep training. Do we have a routine and they know it’s time for sleep after bath and a story? Yes. Did I leave them to scream and cry to signal it’s bedtime? Absolutely not.

We didn’t necessarily sleep training, but we set up very calm, but firm routines and rhythm to the evening all four of my kids loved bedtime

If we went somewhere and arrived after 8pm my littlest sister would just ask if “we could leave now?” The grandparents thought she was being rude- she was 2 and didn’t stop doing this until 7 years old

I think we all need to accept that so many of us, young or old, thrive & do well with routine. as an adult, if i am up past my usual bedtime, I am cranky and tired the next day.

Oh, my mom started sleep training me so early that I became really strict about my sleep schedule, even during vacations. 😂 My routine was: dinner, 30 minutes of TV (she used that time to finish cleaning up), a warm bath, cozy pajamas, 15 minutes of reading, and then I’d instantly fall asleep.

My baby knows 7:30-8:00 it’s time to start coming down . Then we tell her “you want to go read?” And she knows that means it’s time for bed

my sleep training is rocking my son for a little bit to get a snuggle in and then i put him in his crib. he patiently sits up waiting until i give him his blanket. the moment that blanket hits him, he’s balling himself up and dozing off. sleep training isn’t always bad!!

it's just about routine & consistency 👌 I did a mixture of cosleeping & crib, by 7mon my son was sleeping 12hrs in his crib. So moving to his own room wasn't a big deal. Before 2 he was telling us time for bath. By 2 he's getting in bed by himself & pulling the cover on. Still doesnt even get out of bed until we come up & get him (I saw him get out & grab a stuffie & get back in once) 😂
