Isn’t it better to not cover the top and disinfect it before every use to avoid overgrowth of bacteria since the lid keeps moisture in?

Eventually they will break off cleanly anyway. Takes a while tho, metal isnt meant to be bent and eventually will snap. Still hate those tops like everyone else.
