It will not last forever, especially when you cut the grass. It will always come undone patches are only good for a little while especially that close to the edge might get a few weeks or a month out of it.

It’s just the spot where it’s at if you patch in the middle of the driveway and cut out and pack it right it will last but because it’s on the side of the grass where you cannot impact it the right way it will never really set. hope it works for you though. Been in the Asphalt business all my life you can’t patch like that.
