@cheerleader4change: I reviewed Kentucky House Bill 622, I cannot find any section or clause within this bill that would substantiate this August 3 deadline. In fact, based upon the law passed in 2024, it looks like presumably a special election could be called up until approximately November 9th, 56 days before the new Congress is sworn in on January 3. If someone has an actual statute they can point to substantiating the August 3 date, I would love to see it.
