First things first, I threw away a lot more than in the video, but I recycled what I could and had to navigate not disposing of the liquids down the drain (apparently too toxic...) it's not news that most of our products have carcinogens in them, but it's taken some time to truly feel disgusted at using any of these products, including non-natural candles and perfumes We have every natural scent on earth and we made smells into a chemical. Ironically I do smoke, which is a known carcinogen, and yes it's a little counterintuitive to smoke and complain about this but smoking is an informed decision, at least we are told it's bad, and at least it's my choice. Many of the products we are using are sold to us as enhancing and fixing, despite the 50+ list of unknown, incomprehensible ingredients we know nothing about, that's not an informed decision it's deceiving us. I can at least limit the bullshit I introduce to my body by cutting out toxic toiletries, using non fragranced natural washing detergent (you can make yourself for a fraction of the price) filtering water, since even our water has fpas, the list goes on, I don't need to use fluoride toothpaste everyday when their is multiple better options, fluoride is a known toxin for humans yet we brush our teeth twice a day with it, then drink it in our water. On top of all of this, imagine the world where we didn't fall for the bullshit products and how that would dramatically impact how much waste we create? It's normal to see all these made up toxic products in the shelves and even worse most of them have and still test on animals.. also all meat we eat is unethically sourced and at this point it's pure ignorance to ignore it. Do you reckon the meat, eggs and dairy we buy that's come from scared, suffering animals is good for us? I'm gonna say no, same goes for the speed-grown veggies that go mouldy just as quick, bad for the environment and bad for us. I am in my journey of cutting out meat and so happy to finally say I am done with meat. I have found many dairy alternatives but still adjusting. The least we can do is at least source our food from ethical places for ourselves and earth 🌍 #fyp
