@thatflippingagent: Osprey’s are the true embodiment of strength and resilience. There was a time they were on the bring of extinction in the US. In the 1950’s & 60’s the pesticide DDT were making their shells so thin, that they were crushing their eggs before they could hatch. Their numbers were dropping so fast, and in some places they disappeared all together. DDT was eventually banned in the U.S. And today? They’re thriving again in many areas, a powerful reminder of how conservation can make a real difference.
