The only way these data centers could be water positive is that every worker brings water from home with them plus they are instructed not to pee at home. Every drop is measured and counted. . But the problem with ground water usage is that once it is pumped up, it will take weeks or months before the surface water gets through the soil back down to ground. The clean water these data centers use, will go to waste water lines. It is possible to use closed cooling system, but it would increase the manufacturing costs plus it will require more electric energy

When looking att water use in the generation electricity, its i.portant to distinguish between total drawn, and consumption. It is common to take a ton of water from a river or lake and return almost all of it to the source but warmer. Versus actual losses through evaporation.
