Cause I wanted you to know 🤞🏼
For nine years, photographer Peter Funch stood at the same corner of New York City, 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, capturing the morning rush. Every day, at the same hour, he photographed thousands of people passing by. Over time, the faces, gestures, and patterns started to repeat. Some wore the same clothes, carried the same coffee cup, or walked with the same expression, day after day, year after year. His series “42nd and Vanderbilt” (2007–2016) reveals how habits quietly shape our lives — showing both change and sameness in one of the world’s busiest places. “The idea started while I was working on another project outside Grand Central Station,” said Funch. “I wanted to find the regulars in this chaos — and later, their behaviours and rituals in their daily commute.” Artist: @peterfunch #photography #streetphotography #art #nyc
