I cut contact with my dad 3 years ago and cut contact with my mum about a month ago. It’s hard because there’s always a tiny bit of guilt, but I know deep down, it was best for my own mental health

It’s been 2 years now, my nervous system is regulated as bad as it sounds, I don’t miss them. Best decision of my life and wish I did it earlier, but some days are lonely, but you definitely become stronger and you’ll find your people 🙏🏾

Went no contact with my mom, haven’t seen her or talked to her in 7 years. It was hell during my teenage years but now that i’m in my 20’s i’ve accepted it and i’m convinced i saved my own life by leaving. It gets better but there will always be a void.
