Good analogy. This relates to the difference between Deut 6:5 which does not include the “mind” and Luke 10:27. The difference lies in Hebrew versus Greek thought. The Hebrew leb and nefesh (heart and soul) overlap somewhat but they both affect the way we process decision. Leb as the seat of decision finds a vehicle in the nefesh to live out the will of God.

Ansel Maule :
The spirit for the spirit knows the things of the mind , the brain and body is controlled bf 5 sensed, what knoweth the things of a man except the spirit that's in him, at death the body decays in the ground, the witch of Endor could envoke Samuels spirit, it spoke back to him , his nature did not change, demons speak, having the mind of Christ the spirit , does the work of Christ, Christ in you the hope of glory, the Quickening power, that raised Jesus from the dead🙏
