Try $25 an hour but make $1,450 in two weeks which is $2,900 a month because of taxes while paying $1,380 in the mortgage, $500 in bills. $300 in groceries $200 in gas. All this in one month. This is surviving. Not living

@Emily: My bf gets $22 an hr. After taxes $670-700. He gets $2000-2200. If it’s a 3-4 week month.

I get $800 taken out for taxes plus all my benefits and 401k. 🤷♂️Only thing I can afford is to rent a spare room.

$22 an hour is not a living wage anymore in most of the country. And the places where it is, you won’t be able to find a job paying that much.
