Rudeus is a bad person who is glorified and idealized throughout the entire LN and anime. His reprehensible behavior is constantly excused, and his mistakes are immediately forgiven. He's the kind of character whom not even the plot, but lore endlessly bends over backwards to protect, allowing him to avoid any real consequences for his actions. He's a poorly written character that far too many people, unfortunately, identify with.

he's a horrible person which makes people not like his character for the average human it's hard to ignore such a large part of a character even if the rest of his journey is good and the story shows no sort of punishment or reprocussions for his actions he knows what he did was wrong at the end but marries and lives with the same girls he's gr00m3d and hasn't faced any punishment for it

rudeus is bad character and he is badly written. characters like Eren or light are characters you can make very strong arguments for being bad people but they are written as such and the show doesn't try to justify their actions unlike with rudeus
