First thing first breath mama, then apply for a cubby bed it goes through his insurance his Dr can prescribe a prescription for it. Then idk where you live but apply for him to get a caregiver through his insurance & apply for SSI that can be some extra income. And apply for every ABA school, my son went to on he went to school from 8:45am to 2:45pm Monday-Friday.

If you can’t get a bed or until you can get one, remove all toys and put in another room. Put them in totes if you have to. If he’s ripping up pillows then fold up a few throw blankets and put it in a pillow case. I had family support when my son was growing up so I can’t imagine how hard it is. It was hard when I had help. I was a single mom in a 1 bedroom apartment. One day at a time. Check with your Doctors and your schools to see what resources you can get and get disability now. I made the mistake of not getting my son on it and he got type 1 diabetes at 11. So now he’s got 3-4 diagnosis’s. Chin up Mama. Your day is coming and you will look back and wonder how the hell you did it.

it may feel wrong but mama you have to strip that room bare. create a sensory room for him lots of neon lights 1 maybe 3 toys save all that stuffing from the pillows and put it in a box let him play with it from time to time he likes it. get pajamas that zip up and secure the zipper so he can take it down. breath mama you got this. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I finally broke down last year & got my girl on sleeping meds. She NEVER slept. It has changed everything! She goes & stays asleep all night. Her moods the next day are so much better, less meltdowns. Shes 11. I’m a single Mom of 3. Autism is so hard to navigate alone. I’m praying for you baby❤️

See if your dr will write a prescription for a cubby bed. He can write a letter of medical necessity to your insurance and they MIGHT cover it or part of that cost. Be sure to state why it's important to his medical diagnosis.

I saw someone suggested a full-time place for him to live and him go on the weekends and you said you didn’t wanna go, but a lot of places have government funded day programs where he can at least go there during the day and give you a break if nothing else

Autism Mom is here. My son is 15 now and when I tell you, I went through it I went through it same thing you’re going through now my advice to you leave him a bed in the room don’t worry about those blinds. Take everything out of that room that can be destroyed tore up. Give him things that are nonbreakable. My son went through eight beds before he learned to not break them it will get better.
