When I was working on cruise ships I learned very quickly that you needed to let stores know you were crew & would be back next week. They do this when they think you won’t be back. Happens all the time. The port & shopping advisor usually has relationships with the stores on shore & can sometimes help.

If you bought them with a credit card, see you have purchase protection. I had to do this with a purchase I made in Paris that ended up having a hole in it. I got it refunded very easily using my Amex Platinum purchase protection.

I think a lot of designer stores do this when they take his shoe to the back to put it in the box I’m convinced they grab a defective shoe and replace it
