Kudos for sharing this video and its amazing content on the history Mombasa as a trading hub 👏 About 900 A D the Arab traders began trading with the coastal natives. The resilience of the Swahili people in collaboration with other coastal communities continued to build inspite of the wars between the Arabs and the Portuguese. The Fort Jesus was built by the Portuguese to protect their new acquired through conquest . However, the siege of the Fort Jesus in 1632 by the Oman Arabs forced Portuguese to surrendered and moved on to establish settlement in Gujarat, on the Indian subcontinent. Mombasa continues to be the gateway to Eastern Africa coast. I love Mombasa for its friendly people and peaceful and welcoming community.

Thank you for spreading real history for the millions who have been brainwashed and feed by false history,For real we can't find this in schools. check on the natives of mombasa you will know the real history of coast regions with evidence and documents.1000 years ago mombasa was a thriving city even kenya was not independent so its building kenya with lessee agreement which written by British and sultan and mombasa belong to swahili and other people who calim to be theirs.. swahili are not recognised but the spirit will still live.
