Here’s my highly unlikely theory that I often indulge in believing: Suyin is SOKKA and Toph’s child. And Lin is ZUKO and Toph’s kid. We know nothing of who their father(s) are and I think the writers did it ok purpose so we could “infer” who they were. The only reason I think this may be unlikely is because both of them are earth and metal benders which means their father was probably also an earth bender or came from an earth family. There would’ve been a higher chance of Suyin to inherent water bending (because of Sokka’s water bending bloodline + a non bender can still produce an element bending child) and Lin to inherit fire bending from Zuko. So one of them should’ve gotten fire or water bending. Especially seeing how Bolin is an earthbender from their mother and Mako is a firebender from their father.
